I should be packing …

but I’m taking a little break before going back to scurrying madly to get ready to go to TNNA tomorrow πŸ˜‰

Lots in bloom right now, especially the marigolds and vincas in the new bed next to the deck.

There are a few new buds on the Prairie Sunrise rose.

New bud!

And my 1 remaining hibiscus is putting on a major show (there were 7 blooms today – 1 of them is the new wallpaper on my cell phone).

Disco Belle hibiscus.

I’ve got a small compost pile down by the garden, and when I took stuff out the other morning, I found this guy – when I dropped a few overage salad tomatoes in front of him, he really chowed down. Since I didn’t want to disturb him, I set the pan down and did some garden things, then found this when I came back (not quite sure how he climbed in there!): Since the big turtle had left, I set him over in the compost with the stuff, and he was last seen happily munching on over-ripe banana πŸ™‚

  1. I LOVE TURTLES!! You have the happiest turtles in the world. So cool. And, the new plantings next to the deck have gotten huge! It’s beautiful!!!

  2. Turtle harvest! That’s cute. πŸ˜‰
