Close and closer …

I have 1 hisbiscus left of several I started from seed a number of years ago; originally there were also pink and red ones, but this is the only survivor. I’m glad it made it!

I’ll probably repeat the upside-down tomato planter next year, but I need to find a taller place to hang it, as it’s down on the ground. The Brandywine has hung in there, in spite of the hot weather, but maybe next year I can plant some in the ground instead of in a planter. These have to have been some pretty expensive tomatoes, considering all the watering, etc. but they DO taste good 😉

  1. The heat this summer has made for some of the sweetest tomatoes I have had in years. Your hibiscus is stunning. Is the bloom about 8″? I have no luck with them at all. It’s good to hear from you again!!

  2. One hibiscus is far, far better than none. Maybe next year.
