Knitting, spinning, pets, food and other thoughts

Not quite ready …

as they say, for prime time, but we’re making progress! Today, they installed all the base molding, plus the remaining door and window trim, and the furniture (which wasn’t supposed to come for a couple of weeks!) is now sitting in my studio/office/whatever-we-decide-to-call-it. The table expands from 72″ up to 108″ when both leaves are deployed, which should handle the Thanksgiving dinner crowd πŸ™‚

Apart from times when it gets turned into a carpenter’s shop and the occasional hummingbird dogfight, the deck is blissfully done, and perfect for knitting.

Peonies are the main display right now – I was glad to see that Festiva Maxima survived being moved. The pink one is one of the few that wasn’t in the path of the construction.
