For the birds …

Evidently the berries on the bush honeysuckle are at just the right stage of succulent ripeness, as there’s been a feeding frenzy today. There were lots of birds mobbing the bushes and they didn’t seem to be disturbed when I sat down within telephoto range and started snapping away.

On the knitting front, I just received copies of 2 designs recently published by Brown Sheep Company – Seeded Rib Cardigan (worsted weight; 5 sizes, 39-54″) and Slip Stitch Diamonds Pullover (worsted weight; 5 sizes, 34-54″) πŸ™‚

  1. Very nice bird photos. I love tanagers….too bad they don’t live up here (that I know of).

  2. Out there in the country you have so many different birds than we do. Carolina wrens, robins, grackles, cardinals, Eurasian tree sparrows, red-bellied woodpeckers, downy woodpeckers, flickers, goldfinches, house finches, no tanagers or waxwings. Not sure about the Phoebe. 2″+ of rain so far and we just had a humdinger of a shower. Enough already.
