Progress and an oops

Things have been moving along in the construction zone. We now have stairs to the basement instead of having to go way around (which can be very muddy!), or down an extension ladder from what will be the kitchen door. Toby is taking the stairs like they’ve always been there – I used to have to coax him to do stairs at all, so I’m very proud of him πŸ˜‰

We’re waiting for windows to come in and meanwhile, there was a glitch with the window openings. We found out that windows that are nominally the same size can require different sized openings depending on the manufacturer – oops! My studio looked like this before, but the other day they had to do major surgery, which required taking out a large part of the wall, then reframing the opening. The good news is the window’s larger πŸ™‚

Our tv antenna has been sitting on the ground for a while now and our reception has varied from fairly decent to totally pixillated, so I was happy to see this:

It’s nice when the right tools are at hand, and you have really good help – thanks guys!

  1. That is looking fabulous. I can’t wait to see it done(bet you can’t either)!!

  2. Nice progress! The stairs are another big milestone. Can’t wait to see your studio set up.

  3. Hurray for major progress and STAIRS. Despite the redo, a larger window is a good thing. πŸ˜€
