Music & other things

Friday,  I went to a concert here with 2 friends I’ve known since junior high school. Powell Hall was originally the St. Louis Theatre—I remember seeing The Sound of Music there shortly before the theater closed.

The St. Louis Symphony has Friday morning Krispy Kreme Concerts, including complimentary donuts, but the main attraction is always the wonderful music. This concert began with Vaughan Williams and ended with Beethoven’s Pastoral – absolutely lush and beautiful 🙂 The guest conductor was Nicholas McGegan, who’s very active and fun to watch.

As usual, Amber had to get in on the start of a new project. No details now (it’s a stealth project) but I think this yarn is a wonderful color. I can’t wait to see how it turns out!

Even though it keeps turning cold every few days, I keep seeing signs of spring.

  1. Sounds like an absolutely wonderful concert. Love going myself. Amber looks like she’s just waiting for something to get into;–) Your crocuses (?) are beautiful. We’re moving on to our daffodils and the parrot tulips are getting ready to bloom!

  2. I can’t wait for spring flowers.

The color of that yarn is just wonderful! Can’t wait to see what it turns out to be.
