What I did …

on my Christmas vacation: traveled (almost the entire width of Missouri, then north from Springfield to Kansas City in 1 day) , *visited, spoiled grandkids, ate; rep from * several times, went shopping one day, reversed the trip and now I’m trying to catch up with everything that piled up while we were gone.

We had a great time with our kids and grandkids, a total of 3 dogs and 2 cats (including Grover, who’s a recent addition), and while the weather wasn’t entirely nice, it didn’t do any nasties when we had to travel, which was a blessing, as Mom isn’t getting around all that well.

The kids went together and gave us a GPS navigation system, so we had a fairly hilarious return trip, talking back to the “voice in the box” who really didn’t like it when we got off the interstate and took our usual route across country to get home.

I’m doing my first KAL on Seasons of Lace – a fairly simple square lace shawl. Please take a look!

One last orchid photo that I took before we left – it had all 5 blooms open at once. Of course it was completely done by the time we got back

  1. Such lovelies. A kitty named Grover? I LOVE IT! And, another orchid bloom? So unfair;—)

  2. Love the tea party! Sounds like a great holiday with loved ones.

  3. Your trip sounds lovely! I have a lady in the box, too, and find her very entertaining. Have a very happy new year, Joy.
