Payback time …

One price you pay for vacations is trying to catch up afterwards! I’m still working on a couple of uncomfortably close deadlines.

I think it’s a good thing I got out this morning and took these photos. It’s been extremely hot, then we got a doozy of a thunderstorm this evening. I’ve no idea if the flowers got beaten up by it or not*. We’ve had lots of wind, thunder and lightning, about 3″ of rain, and one very unhappy dog. It seemed to go on and on, in fact it’s still rumbling, but I just looked at the radar, and it’s gone past us now, which is a relief.

More later on the yarns (mostly sock) that followed me home, but there was some Blackberry Ridge Silky Merino in a yummy bluish-green, which is already on the needles. I had so much fun with Moth Wings that I’m doing another lacy stole, only this one’s a bit wider. πŸ˜‰

*The surprise lilies were pretty well flattened, and there’s not much left on the phlox either 😦

  1. Your phlox and daylilies are beautiful and the hosta flowers are so pretty. Our hostas haven’t bloomed quite yet. We are so much farther north (snort). We got very little rain, but plenty of boomers and lightning. Sorry about poor Toby. It sucks for the little ones, doesn’t it. I want pix of the Blackberry Ridge shawl as soon as you can. Deadlines come first.
