Happy St. Patrick’s Day!

I looked for something green to share, and thought of the photos I took in Ireland last fall, so here’s one from the top of Dun Aengus, a neolithic stone fort on Inis Mor, Aran, which we visited the first full day after we arrived. We were very fortunate with the weather, and only had rain a couple of mornings the whole time. View from Dun Aengus, Ireland

My copy of Knit ‘N Style came today, and my Beaded Clutch is in it – another happy dance! πŸ™‚

The 2nd Regia Stretch Color sock is done (the FO), and the toe of the first one was just frogged (the F<ormerly>FO) so I could add a few more rounds, as it seemed a tad short when I tried it on – not a good attribute when you want the socks to last.

It’s amazing what a few shots with a good steam iron will do. It went from this before.jpg … to this after.jpg in practically no time. Now that the first sock is re-finished, I guess the next question is what should go on the needles next?

We’re seeing more birds – the phoebes and towhees are back for the summer, and the cardinals have been singing their hearts out, and Himself spotted these this morning, so maybe spring is coming after all …Β  little-daffs.jpg

  1. Just 2 more days!

    Those are fun colors.

I’ve been itching to try knitting socks for the first time. Do you think toe up or cuff down might be best for a sock virgin? (I’ve made mittens and fingerless; and crown to brim hats. I love working with dpns)
