Joyknits!

Knitting, spinning, pets, food and other thoughts

Hello world!

Greetings from the snowy southeast Missouri Ozarks! Thursday set a record high of 73, dropped to 23 in about 4 hours, and we got about 3-4″ of snow Thursday night into Friday, though some areas over east in Illinois got around 10+”. The point at which January meets February has given us several really juicy storms – fortunately this one was nowhere near the record of 21″!

The snow was a good excuse to stay in and knit – not that I really need an excuse to knit! I’m currently playing with a ball of Classic Silk in a slightly tweedy sort of raspberry shade (50% cotton/30% silk/20% nylon), and waiting for it to tell me what it wants to be. What I want it to be is something I can wear to the TNNA show in June, but at the moment, it’s barely whispering. Perhaps that’s a clue that I should do the sleeves and seams on that other sweater that’s waiting, or finish the front band on the vest … you think?

Thanks for stopping by!
