While red poppies would be more fitting for Memorial Day, I don’t have any right now, so these will have to do.

I have always loved red poppies and have fond memories about the early red poppies in the late spring at my Uncle’s flower garden, here in Vt. The poppies would migrate around. Though there was a main patch in one spot, a random poppies that spread out side into the field. After reading the poem, I will expand my thoughts to include those that have passed before us, giving the ultimate sacrifice. Thank you.
